The 2023 competition season is officially underway! Last weekend our competition represented Dance Concepts with pride. We had some very high placements in both solos and groups. For many of our dancers, this was their first competition ever!
It was a two day event with solos on Friday and more solos as well as groups on Saturday.
We dealt with a full costume tear and repair (with an abundance of safety pins – in fact we probably used more safety pins this weekend than we EVER have as a studio). Piper’s costume came apart (came APART – this was not a minor tear) before she went on stage and she was impressively calm and collected about it. We’re so proud of her grace under pressure and Miss Julie’s ability to adapt and adjust on the fly!
Eleanor was sick this weekend and couldn’t be there with us. Her trio did a great job performing as a last minute duet and we missed her in all 3 of her group dances.
Overall it was an AMAZING weekend and I am so happy for the amazing dancers, parents and staff that make up our team.
