Ballet & Jazz Dance Classes
6 and 7 Year olds

Ballet and Jazz for a strong foundation in dance

Rising Stars is the perfect choice for 6 and 7 year olds.* Each week, dancers in our Rising Stars program get to learn both ballet and jazz – and parents only have to drive to one class! 

This class bridges the gap between pre-school dance classes and the “big kid” classes.  We’ll still mix in some fun games and activities while also introducing more dance concepts and holding dancers to higher standards as they mature.  

 Because this class covers more material, it is an hour and 15 minutes long. 

In the ballet section of class we’ll start using the barre and increase our ballet vocabulary adding glissades, pas de chats and so much more.

In jazz, we’ll work on correct passe balances, kicks, leaps and even chaine turns!

*Five year olds may enroll in this class only if they have completed Petite Performers

I have two daughters dancing at Dance Concepts currently and have loved it here! The teachers are engaging to my littlest and challenge my oldest. It’s a very good balance of fun and hard work.

Recital Time

Rising Stars are invited to perform in our two annual recitals! They’ll learn a jazz dance for one show and a ballet dance for the other. Our Rising Stars have so much fun performing on stage with their friends.
