We’re so close to our first recital of our 2023/2024 season! Here’s what you need to know.
Winter Recital
Our winter recital is December 2nd at 4:00! This year’s theme is the Muppet Christmas Carol. You’ll enjoy the show more if you’ve seen the movie, so pop some popcorn and plan a family movie night.
- Date: December 2nd
- Time: Dancers check in at 3:30. Show starts at 4:00. Finished at 5:30.
- Location: Hillcrest Jr High School in Murray
Tickets go on sale this week. Tickets are $7. Dancers do not need a ticket, but everyone over age 2 in the audience does. For this show, tickets are limited to just 5 per dancer. You’ll still be able to buy unlimited tickets for our end of season show June 1st. If we have any extras available for this show, we will put them on sale the week after Thanksgiving.
You’ll receive a note the week of November 13th with instructions on how your class should wear their hair, which shoes you’ll need to bring, and any other important info. Please check your dancers bag and contact us if you need a new copy of your note.
TNT Dance Clinic
Our dancers that came to last month’s TNT clinic came back to the studio so excited about what they had learned!
Join us November 11th 10:00-12:00 for this month’s TNT. Miss Ali will be doing an hour of Strength and Conditioning. Dancers will be focused on knowing which muscles to engage to help us become better and stronger dancers. Miss Julie will give them an hour of speciality turn training including multiple pirouettes, a la seconds, fouettés, leg hold turns, attitude and other fun turns as well as the fundamentals to help make the turns successful.
Clinics are open to all dancers so make sure and bring your friends! It’s only $20 for two hours of invaluable learning. Clinics can also count as make-up classes for absences for competition team members.

Word of the Month
Our word of the month is Consideration. We’re working on showing consideration to our classmates and teachers. You can participate by asking your dancer what consideration means to them and how they showed consideration today.
Dress Code Reminder
Please remember to send your dancer in appropriate dress code for dance. The includes having their hair up in a way that will stay up and not need to be redone during class. Just a scrunchie is not enough to hold for a full class. Gym shorts and running shorts are only appropriate for hip hop classes. If you have questions about dress code for your class, you can find full descriptions here.
Lost and Found
Our lost and found is becoming quite the collection. Please check for any items that belong to you. We’ll be doing a purge before the holidays and don’t want to throw away any treasures.
Bathroom Breaks
Please help keep our classes on track by taking your dancer to use the bathroom before class starts. Dancers ages 5-8 even though they no longer need help using the restroom, do best with a reminder from a parent to go before class.
Competition Team News
Don’t forget to check the makeup board to see if you owe a makeup class that you may have forgotten about. Let’s get those taken care of before the new year. Use the TNT clinic on the 11th to knock two of them out!
Production rehearsals are starting! This is your last chance to join. Rehearsals will be Fridays at 4:00 in Sandy. Production is open to all dancers on Ascend, Jr Elite, Sr Elite.
Starting after Thanksgiving soloists will be charged $5/half hour for studio space rental. Your choreographer will still be the one to book your space. Room rentals will be charged when you book the room and are non-refundable so please only book time you are serious about.
