Calling all future costume designers! This week we’re holding a costume design contest. You can either color one of the costumes below, or create a new costume design for our paper doll!

As we go into Thanksgiving next week, we asked the Dance Concepts staff what they are thankful for.

Another recital is in the books!  Our dancers were brave, supportive and loving towards one another and I couldn’t be more proud!  The feeling of accomplishment and camaraderie you feel emanating from a class right after they come off the stage is one of my favorite things.

Our last competition of the season has come and gone!  It was a great one.  So many of our dancers had their best performance of the year.  We also had quite a few dances in the overall awards! Personally, I’m not tired of these dances yet.  I could watch them performed again and again, but

This year’s Utah Dance Fest has to be one of the longest competitions we have ever attended.  If it wasn’t for our amazing dancers and team parents I don’t know how we would have survived!

We’re so proud of Vera for her success in this year’s Reflections contest.  Vera won the award for Dance Choreography in Grades K-2 at Granite Elementary.  She’s since moved through two more rounds and most recently won Region 17 which includes ALL of the Canyon’s School District!

Tonight’s master class with Michael Milkanin was off the charts! He taught us all choreography from his national tour with the Tony Award winning show Kinky Boots. The class was so much fun. Michael talked to us about how important it is to bring a little bit of our true selves to each performance –
