Hey there competition dancers! It’s time to start assembling your goodies and supplies for this year’s competition season. The list is the same as last year’s, so just double check that everything you have is in good shape. The lip color can be a little hard to find, but is everyone’s favorite. Your best bet may be to order it online.
We use the instructions below for two reasons. First, it gives us a good uniform look to the dance. We don’t want one person sporting crazy Wild Child Fuchsia lips if the rest of the team is wearing a deep berry color-it creates a distraction. Second, the makeup is designed to make dancers features show up from the audience. We want to be able to see their eyes, lips, and cheeks from a distance, as well as under the intense stage lights that have a tendency to wash people out.
One final note that isn’t included on the print out: If your dancer is quite blonde we suggest using a touch of bronzer at the hairline so her forehead doesn’t just blend into her hair 🙂
