Masks
We are thrilled (THRILLED!) to see our world returning to normal as we ease out of the pandemic. With the governor’s mask mandate expiring, we have a plan going forward to move us toward normal as well.
Just like schools we will continue to require masks through May 31. This will allow enough time for anyone who is choosing to get vaccinated to do so. After the end of May, we plan to no longer require masks at Dance Concepts.
Recital
Our recital date has changed from the one originally schedule. Murray school district decided to cancel all rentals for the remainder of the school year so we had to adjust. You should have already received an email, but just in case you missed it recital will be held on May 22nd.
Auditons
Auditions for our 2021-2022 competition teams are May 8th! We have teams that compete in Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet and Hip hop. Our teams attend 3 competitions on weekends in the spring. They grow so much as dancers and really bond together as friends. You can check out what they’ve been up to this year going back to the last two posts.
A couple weeks before the auditions, we’ll send out video of choreography that you should learn at home. When you come in to audition, we’ll ask dancers to show us what they learned from the video as well as some other individual steps we’ll show them that day. We keep auditions low pressure and encouraging!

Picture Days
Purple Moss Photography will be doing our dance photos again this year. They are schedule for May 11, 12, and 13th at our Sandy location. There are no regular classes held those days. We’ll send more info out as we get closer, but you can find your class’s class picture time below:
