So You Think You Can Dance Midvale

Midvale is having a So You Think You Can Dance contest at this year’s Harvest Days.  We’re pretty sure our Dance Concepts dancers can dance with the best.  Entry is FREE so brush the dust off of your solos and lets get some dancers entered.  If there are enough people in town we could take a couple group numbers as well.  Let us know what you want to do!

Here’s the info from Harvest Days:

CALL FOR DANCERS
Attention all dance troupes, ballerinas, and closet dancers: Do you like to move it move it, Midvale? Can you shake your booty, Midvale? How about busting a move, cutting a rug, or getting your groove on, Midvale? In other words, do you think you can dance, Midvale? The Harvest Days Committee is thrilled to announce our first annual SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, MIDVALE? contest! On August 11, 2012, the Saturday afternoon of Harvest Days, from 12-3 we are going to – you guessed it – dance!

This will be a juried contest with prizes in each category (solo, duo, or group), with additional categories to be determined based on participation. Each applicant will perform 2 minute dance on the Amphitheater Stage in Midvale Park on Saturday, August 11, 2012 between 12 and 3pm. Please provide your own music on a CD. To dance, please send your name and dance group (or solo/duo) information to Julie at juliepetunia@gmail.com, along with style of dance and title of your music. There is no entry fee. Please pass this information along to anybody and everybody you know.

Harvest Days is a family-oriented activity, so please assure that your music (including lyrics) and dress are appropriate as such. The Harvest Days Committee reserves the right to reject any applicant’s application.
