This weekend we attended Healing Through Movement. It’s a non-profit dance competition that raises money for charity. At the end of the night on Saturday we got to hear from girl who has muscular dystrophy and due to a newly developed drug, can now raise her arm above her head. What a humbling thing after watching our dancers move freely all weekend long. We are proud to have gotten to participate over the weekend and be a part of such a great cause. We LOVE dance. We love it in a dance-down-the-aisles-of-the-grocery-store-because-it-makes-your-heart-happy sort of way. We love doing it just to do it. Before the season started our Level 5 spent a Friday floating the Weber River as a team building activity. I think we flipped five tubes but we all made it home safe and sound and had a fantastic time. These girls are an awesome team both on and off the stage.
Often when a dancer puts on a costume for the first time, their dance really comes alive. It helps them transform into the character they are meant to be and can take their performance to a new level. In the same way, dressing appropriately for class helps our dancers be focused and give their class work the respect and effort it deserves.

Our Spring Recital is just around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited to see all our dancers perform! Recital is Tuesday, June 13th. We have 2 shows, one at 6:00 pm and the other at 8:00 pm. Below is the show order and also shows which dance is in which show. Recital will be held at Murray High School (5440 State Street). Tickets are on sale now!
