Utah Ballet Presents Cinderella

Inspire your ballerina with a live ballet show.  Utah Ballet, the University of Utah’s Ballet Company, is putting on Cinderella at Kingsburry hall.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.  Children under 6 are not permitted. April 3rd and 4th at 7:30.  Purchase tickets

It was a beautiful, warm, sunny weekend in St. George with our competition team.  We were very pleased with the progress they made in each of their dances from last month's competition to this one.   Our dancers performed well and brought home a few more trophies to add to the collection :)    (more…)

Competition Schedule for Releve St. George

IMG_2771We have our schedule for the St. George competition!  The master classes are being taught by Alan Salazar.  Check out Alan's bio here.  This competition is FULL so expect a lot of dancers, a lot of studios, and a LOT of dance!  Saturday is a really long day but it's going to be a blast.  Remember to plan on being in the dressing room, ready to go, 90 minutes before you are scheduled to perform.  Oh So Quiet, you don't have to be there until 8:00 AM as long as you promise to be on time and be ready to go.  If you have trouble being on time plan on 7:45. Get More Flexible By “Finding Space” In Your Stretch

Savannah FlexibleWe're always looking for ways to get more flexible in less time.  Over the weekend I listened to an interesting podcast of an interview with Pavel Spetnaz by Tim Ferriss.  He’s a physical trainer for world class athletes in all sorts of genres and has trained Spetnaz (the soviet special forces) as well as the US Navy Seals. One of the topics of the podcast was flexibility and I was interested in his idea of “finding space” in order to increase your flexibility.  (more…)
